Minster celebrates latest Leeds branch opening

As we look to strengthen our presence in the North of England, we have opened a new branch in Leeds this week.

It is located to conveniently support the buoyant local construction industry. The 26,000 square foot outlet is situated on a 2-acre site at Lake Terrace in Hunslet – adjacent to our sister civils, infrastructure and utilities distributor, Jewson Civils Frazer. 

David Furlong, Regional Director at Minster has commented on the important strategic expansion for the specialist insulation, dry lining, fire protection, façade, roofing and ceilings solutions distributor: “We’re really excited about the opening of our new Leeds branch and the opportunities it will create.  Construction in Leeds and the wider Yorkshire region is thriving and there is huge demand for our specialist solutions. Having a central base in the area has been one of our strategic goals for some time and will enhance our ability to provide our unrivalled support and expertise to local projects.”

The opening of the new Leeds branch has created six new jobs encompassing both commercial and driver roles. This move increases the network of specialist Minster branches to 26 across the UK. 

David Furlong continues, “In terms of accessibility, the location of the Leeds branch is great, it is only 10 minutes from the city centre and is adjacent to the local motorway network. Being situated alongside Jewson Civils Frazer is another major plus. It will enhance our ability to collaborate with one another and service our shared customers more effectively supporting our growth ambitions.”
