Green Homes Grant & our suppliers

Green Homes Grant is a golden opportunity

In 2020, the UK Government announced the Green Homes Grant (GHG), and 600,000 vouchers were made available to homeowners in England to pay for energy saving measures. Not only does the scheme make homes more energy efficient, it helps create and secure jobs in the construction industry.

The GHG is available to homeowners and private landlords, offering up to two thirds of the cost of installing energy-saving insulation.

Homeowners and landlords engaging with the scheme need to provide quotes from Trustmark and MCS/PAS-accredited installers, so securing those qualifications is essential.
The national scale of the grant makes this an unmissable opportunity for installers and contractors and will undoubtedly boost the industry as we recover from the impacts of Covid-19.

The eligibility for the voucher scheme is currently scheduled to end on 31 March 2021.
Visit the government website for more information on the Green Homes Grant Scheme.

Kingspan

When you’re working in an existing property, being able to save a few millimetres in the thickness of insulation you’re fitting can make a big difference in the finished space.

Kingspan is committed to providing the slimmest possible solutions for every application. Our popular Kingspan Kooltherm range offers the lowest thermal conductivity of any commonly used insulation materials (as low as 0.018 W/mK) and covers a wide range of applications including suspended floors, internal and external walls, room-in-roof conversions and soffits.

In cases where space is especially limited, such as when you need to retain floor-to-ceiling height when installing insulation above an existing floor slab, we also offer our Kingspan OPTIM-R vacuum insulation panel (VIPs) systems for floor and flat roof applications. These panels can achieve an insulating performance that is up to five times better than commonly used insulation materials.

Recticel

High-performance insulation products contribute significantly to the fight against global warming. Well-insulated properties use less heating and cooling energy, therefore produce fewer CO2 emissions. Recticel Insulation has developed a range of high thermal-value which are more environmentally friendly.

Powerdeck® F boards are a flat roof insulation solution. They offer high compressive strength and excellent thermal performance.

Powerdeck® U, a rigid PIR insulation board, achieves the same excellent thermal performance as Powerdeck® F, making it ideal for use in warm flat roofs. Its stability, strength and structural integrity combine to guarantee a super-flat finish, resulting in an easy and cost-effective installation.

Eurothane® PL is a three-in-one solution; it’s an insulation board, a vapour control layer and plasterboard for internal wall insulation and pitched roof applications. The board’s extremely tight tolerances minimise thermal bridging, whilst its factory-bonded manufacture offers optimum board dimensions and adhesion between layers.

Get ahead with Rockwool

Stone wool insulation is a natural choice for any customer looking to make their GHG vouchers go further. It’s also a perfect choice for you as it is quick and easy to cut and fit.

Its higher density means that it won’t slump or sag over time – giving you an even stronger competitive edge.

Recent investment in a new purpose-built logistics centre and hardstand means that ROCKWOOL’s product availability can be truly relied upon – even with the upturn in demand expected from the Green Homes Grant.

Stone wool is a robust investment as its advantages extend far beyond thermal insulation:

  • It’s safe… stone wool will not burn, which means it helps minimise damage in the unfortunate event of a fire.
  • It’s quiet… promote the sound reduction benefits of stone wool to your customer.
  • It’s sustainable… many homeowners are looking to minimise their impact on the planet. Stone wool is made from volcanic rock, a naturally occurring material.
