Minster takes a strong stance with Manual Handling training

Around 10% of major injuries in the workplace are linked to manual handling. Minster has taken a strong stance to safeguard all employees against injuries by training 25 manual handling champions across our 20 branches.

We teamed up with Pristine Condition (health and safety specialists), who provided the theoretical and practical manual handling training sessions. A trained champion is now on hand at their local branch to help make sure colleagues stop and think about their lifting techniques during their daily routines.

The training is specific to Minster-related products. It includes new techniques for lifting heavy and differently shaped materials to reduce the risk of injuries – which could be anything from back and neck problems to a slipped disc or a torn muscle.
