Position: Branch Manager
Time with Minster: 6 years
Previous Role: Assistant Branch Manager
I was born in Kent, where I lived for 25 years; this is also where I met my partner. We have a daughter at secondary school, and we’re all sports mad! If we’re not watching sport on the telly, we’re at a ground somewhere watching football or cricket!
Following my A Levels, I started my first serious job, selling specialist technical equipment to television production companies! We relocated to Sheffield, and started my career in specialist distribution with SIG.
I spotted an opportunity to develop my career in sales with Minster, progressing to Assistant Branch Manager, and then Branch Manager. I now look forward to developing the business at our amazing new warehouse in Rotherham, with my great team who are also my second family!
I’m a huge football and cricket fan! I split my time between watching the Blades at Bramall Lane, and watching cricket at Headingley! Attending the Ashes in Australia, and taking in Melbourne and Sydney test matches is my sporting highlight!
My favourite author is Jeffery Deaver, who writes crime novels such as the Bone Collector and the Coffin Dancer. My favourite film is Fried Green Tomatoes.
Achievements, Accomplishments, and Triumphs
Becoming branch manager was definitely a proud moment, and I’ve not looked back. It’s been great leading the team, and developing relationships. I spend more time with customers to understand their individual needs, and trying to make their lives easier. This is a great industry, but it can be tough out there, so we’re always looking for ways to help.
