About me

I was born and bred in Huddersfield and studied Health & Social Care at college. I have two daughters, three step daughters and a grand-daughter too (I know, difficult to believe!). My partner and I are getting married soon.. I’m so excited!

I’m quite bossy and organised – which helps with the admin at the branch. We all fit into our spaces at Rotherham, and operate a bit like a family, where Michaela is mum, and I’m big sister.

Interests and Hobbies

I love horse riding as I enjoy galloping through the fields and jumping over fences. I got into it through my aunty, when I was four, and now my kids are having a go. I’m an animal lover but sadly my Rottweiler passed away recently. She was a lovely loyal animal, who loved a cuddle. She and my youngest daughter were best friends.

Another passion is football and music. My partner is a massive Huddersfield fan, whereas I follow Man U. Football and rugby is a common theme through the whole family.

We enjoy going to gigs and festivals. Last year we went to Benicàssim Festival in Spain. Over the years we’ve seen Stone Roses, Stereophonics, Inspiral Carpets and many more.

I recently completed a skydive for Barnardo’s! It was terrifying, but great fun! We raised over £2,000 for our charity partner Barnardo’s and while the day was full of ups and downs (excuse the pun) it was a great experience and so glad I could do it in support of such a great charity.

I have a few dressage trophies through horse riding when I was really young, and latterly two trophies for winning pool competitions. Our team started at the bottom of the Kirklees league, and we won our way to the top league!

My biggest achievement though is raising my two kids on my own. My partner is amazing with them now though.
