‘Making the Difference’ – Minster Conference 2014

Our second annual Minster conference was one to remember for the branch management and sales teams! Our new MD, Nadine Matthews addressed the branch managers and the sales team on her expectations and strategies for Minster in 2014. She was joined by the Saint-Gobain Chief Executive, Mark Rayfield, who also addressed the Minster team on his expectations of the business and Minster’s role in Saint-Gobain.

With the theme of the conference being ‘Making the Difference,’ the speakers hammered home the message in their respective departments. Finance Director, Matt Watkins analysed Minster’s financial performance in 2013 and highlighted the areas we need to focus on in his segment ‘Accounting for the Difference’. 

This was followed by Nick Ratcliffe who spoke on ‘Marketing the Difference’ and  Reece Bailes on ‘Selling the Difference’. HR Manager, Georgina Moakes-Britton spoke on the benefits of empowering and training employees and Dean Styles concluded the exec team presentations with his section on ‘Pricing the Difference’.

Nadine closed off the day with a sincere thanks to all who have welcomed her and expressed her excitement at working with everyone at Minster.
