Our challenge to travel 24,901 miles; the distance to circumnavigate the globe within 80 days has come to a spectacular end. We thought you would like to know where we reached since our last update.
The purpose of this challenge is not only to raise much needed funds for our charity partner Barnardo’s, but to promote a healthier lifestyle both within the workplace and at home; as those involved are stepping up (excuse the pun) to improve their health and wellbeing. We hope this expedition highlights the great work Barnardo’s do to open up a world of opportunities to young care leavers; who we will continue to support through our fundraising.
Mumble has finally made it back to the Minster Office in Coventry, England. While he went slightly over the 80 days by an extra 9 days the effort which was put into this challenge by all who took part is to be applauded. A fantastic £340 was raised for Barnardo’s through this challenge and steps (excuse the pun) were made to improve the general health and fitness of our team through the weekly challenges and the 5 miles a day target. Thank you and well done everyone, we made it!!
Mumble ventured to America, Colorado to soak up the sights that Colorado Springs has to offer
The ‘Big Apple’ was next on Mumble’s destinations. Below you can see Mumble impersonating the Statue of Liberty on Liberty Island in New York Harbor, in the United States of America
The final destination was Coventry, England where Mumble was greeted by a mass of balloons and confetti to celebrate his completed expedition around the world.
